What you'll do

The beauty of our warehouse is that we don't expect you to work a rotating shift pattern, you have set hours which means you can plan your life! You will work 5 days in 7 on a static 6 week shift pattern which means that you will cover 2 weekends in 6.

in this management role and you will be responsible for up to 6 Supervisors and up to 100 colleagues on shift. You'll be the backbone of Toolstation, managing your night shift and making sure the right products arrive at the right branches in perfect condition. The key is in maintaining an efficient and unified team operation by ensuring communication is slick. Your team will be working quickly, checking deliveries for accuracy and ensuring high levels of stock accuracy. It can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. But if you and your team take real pride in what you do, our customers will notice and love us all the more for it. 


Supporting. Whether it’s assisting the Operations Manager, working closely with the Outbound Team Leader, or motivating, engaging and coaching the team to achieve targets.

Communicating. Be it with the Buying department and suppliers, or your team in daily briefings, you’ll make sure communication is at the heart of everything you do to ensure a smooth operation.

Delivering great service. You’ll lead the replenishment operation to ensure the highest level of stock availability on the pick face – and you’ll do it with a smile on your face – no matter how busy you are and coaching the team to do the same.

Improving. Never resting on your laurels. Identifying risks and formulating ideas to reduce them, making proposals for improvement and implementation. And when it comes to your team, you’ll do the same; mentoring, coaching and developing them to help them fulfil their roles and progress with Toolstation.

Building a fun working environment. Maintaining our great product availability and high standards, while making sure that it’s somewhere everyone loves coming to work.

What you'll bring

Knowledge. You’re at home in large scale logistics and distribution operations and have worked at a team leadership level and are used to managing large numbers of colleagues. To give you a sense of scale, our operation has over 400 colleagues on site and you will be responsible for up to 6 direct reports and the well being over over 100 colleagues on shift. 

Hard work and passion. You’re energetic, positive, highly motivated and impart this on your team.

A love of team work. Be happy to muck in and get your hands dirty whilst at the same time demonstrating your leadership capability.

Reliability. Be there when we need you, be flexible and positive, able to spin plates and keep a cool head.
