What you'll do
This is a remotely based role with the requirement to travel to Head Office for meetings when required.

We need driven Solution Engineers to ensure the  design and development of our integrated solutions, future proof our business and ensure that our technical teams are aligned with our architecture vision. 

We’re not restrained by legacy systems; we entirely control our architecture and application stack. What this means is that you’ll have the opportunity and autonomy to make a big impact in a business that cuts through red tape and likes to get things done.

Leading - Web Front End Development or Ecommerce, you’ll also be instrumental in major IT projects and hands-on technical issues and provide technical guidance to the Software Development Team

Influencing - the business’ current and future architecture needs and the scope for existing and replacement systems

Evaluating-  alternative architectures and the commercial viability, performance and scalability 

Driving - change and continuous improvement 

What you'll bring

Experience - either an experienced Developer looking for a step up or a Solutions Engineer looking for more influence and freedom. Either way you will need to be ambitious and progressive. We don’t like to stand still and neither should you. Part of the Travis Perkins plc, there is always scope for talented people. 

Knowledge - PHP, laravel, Javascript (React, Vue.js), MySQL and Git as well as Docker, Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, laC, GitOps ideally

E-commerce experience ideally working with Nuxt based Web Architecture

Project management experience and advanced problem solving ability

Cool under pressure with a sense of urgency when its required
